Stephen Monti 74, of Rutherford formerly of Waldwick passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Assunta and Francis Monti. Stephen was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 8160 and a life member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Before retiring, Stephen was a telephone operations manager for the New York Stock Exchange and previously, worked for Avaya and Lucent Technologies. Devoted father of Michael Monti and his wife Noreen and Patricia Halloran and her husband Christopher. Caring friend and former spouse, Noreen Mulligan. Dear brother of Susan Rinaldi and Loretta Monti. Loving grandfather of Angelina, William, Emily and Ryan.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Thursday, December 23rd at 10 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church 260 Boulevard Hasbrouck Heights at 11 AM. Visitation Wednesday, December 22nd from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Feeding America or to the Military Order of the Purple Heart would be appreciated. Masks are required upon entering the funeral home.
