Stephen Jon
Villani
June 23, 1985 — November 20, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Jon Villani, a beloved son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. Born on June 23, 1985, at Hackensack Hospital in New Jersey, Stephen grew up in Wood Ridge, and resided in East Rutherford, NJ.
A proud graduate of Wood Ridge High School, Stephen played for the school's football team. He went on to earn a degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College. A lifelong bodybuilder, he began his journey in his teens and won numerous competitions over the years, inspiring those around him with his discipline and determination. His love of automobiles began at an early age - passed down to him from his father and grandfather. This passion led to a career in the automotive and transit industry, where he applied his expertise to commercial vehicles. Outside of work, he devoted himself to refurbishing and trading luxury and vintage vehicles. Stephen also had a lifelong affection for WWE wrestling. His home was filled with an extensive collection of memorabilia, and he frequently hosted events with past WWE stars, bringing smiles and excitement to fans and friends alike.
Above all, Stephen's heart was as strong as it was kind. A dog lover through and through, he adored his two dogs, Mia and Lia, who were his constant companions. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether to a friend in need or a stranger down on their luck. Stephen's life was tragically cut short, but his memory will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched.
Stephen is predeceased by his father, Anthony C. Villani II. He is survived by his mother Joan Villani-Taylor (Bill), his brother, Anthony Villani (Danielle), his aunt, Gail Olcott, his uncle John Sallupo Jr. (MaryAnne), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and the communities he was a part of.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at Corpus Christi R.C. Church 260 Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights on Friday, November 29th at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Bergen County Animal Shelter 100 United Ln, Teterboro, NJ 07608 to honor his memory.
