Teresa A. Madera (nee Checo) 82, of Fort Lee formerly of Hasbrouck Heights passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Born in San Jose de la Matas, Dominican Republic to the late Tomasina and Bellarmino Checo and came to the United States in 1964. Before retiring, Teresa was a home health aide. Beloved wife of Luis R. Madera. Devoted mother of Teresa Madera Gonzalez and her husband Tony, Luisa Navarro and her husband Carlos and Luis Robert Madera and his wife Kelly. Dear sister of Ramona, Carmen, Lourdes, Celida, Maria, Celina, Antonio, Rafael, Luis and Marcelo. Loving grandmother of Justin, Brandon, Gabriella, Nico and Maddy.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday, May 10th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church 125 Union Street in Lodi at 10 AM. Entombment following at Westwood Cemetery and Mausoleum. Visitation Friday, May 9th from 3 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
