William Andrew Schellack of Jackson NJ, formerly of Hasbrouck Heights and Jersey City passed away peacefully on December 10, 2022.

Bill was born September 2, 1935 to Elizabeth (Chesebrough) and Herman Schellack in Jersey City, NJ.  Bill was married to the love of his life, Josephine (Gasbarro) for 65 years.   Bill leaves behind his wife, Jo, his daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Eric Fortier of Long Valley, NJ, Karen and Bob Van Schaack of Wall, NJ and Jo Ann and Mark Ciano of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, nine grandchildren Lisa (Scott), Lauren (Joe), Bobby (Mary), Andrew, Laura (Richie), Nicole (Charlie), Amanda (Johnny), Mark and Luke and 5 great grandchildren, Nathan, Alaina, Logan, Olivia and Cole, his sister Victoria Marks, and many nieces and nephews and friends. Bill was predeceased by a newborn son and his siblings Richard Schellack and Jeanne Elia.

Bill spent many summers at his vacation home in Lake Hopatcong, where he shared his love of boating and fishing with his friends and family.  Bill was known for his quick wit and always enjoyed joking around.  Bill's family was his pride and joy, and nothing made him happier than enjoying great meals, laughs and time with his beloved family.

Bill worked for Western Electric and AT & T for 41 years, retiring in 1995.  He was a proud Veteran of the US Air Force.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Wednesday, December 14th at 10am. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi Church in Hasbrouck Heights at 11am. Private cremation will follow. Visitation Tuesday, December 13th from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
